I don’t believe nutrition needs to be complicated or restrictive to make a difference. I want to help people understand how food can support their health while still leaving plenty of room for the foods, traditions, and experiences that make eating enjoyable and personal.
I bring that approach to life through speaking, cooking demonstrations, corporate wellness programs, media appearances, and brand partnerships, always with the same goal: make the science useful in everyday life.

I believe food should be enjoyed, not prescribed
I’ve always loved cooking, trying new cuisines, and understanding the science behind what we eat, so becoming a dietitian felt like a natural fit.
I studied nutrition and dietetics at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, before completing my dietetic internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Over the years, my work has led me to an area of nutrition I find especially fascinating: the connection between food, sleep, and how we feel.
We often think about our bedtime routine or how much sleep we’re getting, but what’s on our plate can play a role, too. That connection inspired my first book, Eat To Sleep: What To Eat & When To Eat It for a Good Night’s Sleep, and has become a big part of the work I do today.
My love of sharing food started long before that. In 2013, I created The Nutrition Adventure as a place to share recipes with friends and family. What began as a simple recipe blog has grown into a library of approachable recipes for anyone looking to make something delicious and nutritious at home.
In 2023, I published my second book, The Everything DASH Diet Meal Prep Cookbook, with recipes designed to make heart-healthy eating easier and more enjoyable.
When I’m not talking, writing, or teaching about food, you’ll probably find me hiking with my husband, practicing yoga, gardening, or, unsurprisingly, in the kitchen trying something new.
What can we create together?
